First comes love...then comes a tidal wave of financial decisions that you may feel unprepared to make.

Many financial commitments have extensive rules about educating the consumer before they enter into the commitment.

This is not always the case for marriage or remarriage. You can pay your fee and get married without anybody explaining the financial impact. This is probably a shame because the action of getting married can be one of the most comprehensive changes to your personal finances that you will ever make. A lot of people walk into it with no idea what it means to their financial future. Let's change that.

  • Innovative Presentations
  • Video and Audio Sessions
  • Exciting Bonuses
  • Interactive Activities
  • Prizes ... everybody loves prizes.

Life as a stepparent might feel complicated but probably you are doing a lot of things "right"

You love your partner.  You dream of strong loving relationships with everybody in the new family. You’ve got big dreams to create a family that you love and where you feel loved.  BUT sometimes stepparents discover that they aren’t quite sure where they fit in the new family. One of the places this can show up is with family finances and who gets to spend what when and for whom.

As a stepparent you might feel like you walked into a plan that somebody else set up. When it comes to finances those existing goals may or may not align with what you want for your future. Knowing where the lines are and what your options are can be a significant step in claiming control for yourself.

When it comes to MONEY Maybe right now you ...

  • Are unsure of what you are expected to pay for in your family.
  • Are not sure what your financial exposure or obligations are in your new family.
  • Wondering what happens to the family budget if you decide to have a child?
  • Losing sleep wondering if your future is secure if a catastrophe happens.
  • Are a little unsure or even afraid of potential upcoming expenses with your stepkids.
  • Are wondering how you can plan for your financial future in a blended family.
  • Wondering how estate planning works if you are a stepparent?
  • Asking yourself every day, wait…who is going to take care of me?

All of this information is available. There are actually trained professionals who can help. In my experience (as a person who is not a finance professional) financial information for stepparents is a specialty topic. Unfortunately stepparents are sometimes at a disadvantage to finding this information.

Plus, when we get right down to it…most people don’t like to talk about financial planning.

Research tells us that Money is a top source of conflict in families

This is true even if there is enough money to go around. The more you know about what you want to do and how you can do it…the less there is to fight about.

This is empowerment and that’s what the Stepmoney Summit aims to provide.

How would it feel to:

  • Be confident about your financial security as a stepparent.
  • Not feel like walking on eggshells anytime the family budget comes up.
  • Sleep peacefully knowing that your finances are in order.
  • Feel confident that you can plan your vacation, retirement dreams or house renovations  (without anxiety about blended family surprise expenses).

This is exactly why I wanted to create the Stepmoney Summit.

During the Stepmoney Summit

DURING the Stepmoney Summit YOU’LL LEARN about a variety of specific situations that can impact stepparent finances and what the choices are so that you can be empowered to make the best decisions for you in your family.

Join us for Stepmoney Summit,  to learn from several experts about financial planning, budgeting, planning all specific to stepparents.

Meet your Host

Amy Stone  Stepmom, Mom, Mentor, Coach

I’ve been a stepparent for over 20 years. I have two grown stepkids and 2 young adult kiddos. I want to invite you to this Stepmoney Summit because I speak from experience that the financial concerns and issues that face stepparents are in many cases slightly more complicated than we originally expect. The advice we may get from well meaning folks sometimes doesn’t fit our actual situation.  The consequences of the decisions we make are long lasting.

I am not a lawyer or a financial advisor. I’m your host. I’m a stepmom who has been through setting up bank accounts. prenups, mortgages, retirement plans, inheritance when my parents died, school tuition, health insurance, life insurance, car insurance, credit reports, investments, legal fees, child support, unexpected medical bills, college accounts for stepgrandkids, wedding planning for stepkids, estate planning, trusts, retirement planning and so much more.

What I believe to be true is that while each of these things is potentially more complicated as a stepparent. There are options and I believe that empowerment begins when you have the information to make the intentional decisions that are best for your life.

Grab your ticket and join me for a one-of-a-kind event that will help you master your money as stepparent.

I can’t wait to see you there!

The Stepmoney Summit is unique. It was created by a real person in a blended family … specifically for other real people in blended families.

In my opinion, you don’t need another summit full of sessions with a variety of angry people hashing and rehashing how being a stepparent is HARD.  You already know that.

You also don’t need a summit where people are avoiding talking about tough topics like money and the stigma around stepparents talking about money. And I think we can all agree that we probably don’t need any more summits filled with finance dudes showing pictures of their luxury cars and airplanes telling us to clip coupons and skip our morning coffee.

Good news! That is NOT what you’re going to find at this event.

The Stepmoney Summit was specifically created for Stepparents and adults in blended families who want to be financially empowered ...like you.

  • It is very common for a stepparent to describe their personal situation as disempowered. Stepparents frequently feel like a lot of the decisions in their life are left up to other members of the family. Guess what…financial decisions are at the top of that list.
  • It is also a reality that there is a social stigma around stepparents and talking about money.  If we don’t talk about it and we don’t learn about it then we are  leaving those decisions up to other people.

Instead of covering a random wide variety of topics that impact stepparents this summit is about helping you understand the unique financial situations and choices that stepparents face.

Stepmoney 2025 Speakers

A call for speakers will begin around the summertime 2024.

YOU’RE READY TO EXPERIENCE EMPOWERMENT THAT COMES FROM KNOWLEDGE

Here's something that I believe to be true.

It’s time to stop assuming that financial decisions will be or should be made for us by others and finally take control of learning what we need to know to make our own best financial decisions. You can do this.

How do I know whether this summit is right for me?

If you’re curious about financial planning and how to empower yourself as a stepparent then this event is for you! We’ll be specifically talking to stepparents and focusing on financial planning knowledge and empowerment, but anyone else who wants to get started with financial planning for families is welcome to join us.

As a note… one thing this is not is investment opportunities, saving strategies, get out of debt or job or career strategies. That’s a totally different topic and you won’t find that here.

When is this event happening?

The main portion of the summit runs through the second week of January 2024.

How long will I have access to the presentations?

Your free ticket includes 24- hour access to each of the presentations. If you need more time for flexibility, you can always upgrade your ticket to the POWERPASS after registering, which will give you extended access to the presentations along with premium bonuses from our speakers and more!

Are the presentations live?

Ummm….no. This summit is created by Amy from Amy Says So and she’s a one-woman operation. To avoid tech glitches, give you the best possible experience, and keep things easy for the speakers, the presentations are pre-recorded and will be released at a scheduled time during the summit.

Will all the speakers get my email address?

No. When you register, you’ll be added to the Amy Says So email list so we can send you updates for the event and links to each day’s presentations. After the summit is over, you’ll continue to hear from us, but you can unsubscribe at any time. You will have the option to connect with individual speakers if you want to give them your contact information for follow up. You can learn more by checking out the privacy policy.
